PUBLIC WARNING | The City Government of San Pedro particularly City Agriculture Office – San Pedro, Laguna would like to warn the public that it HAS NO SEASONAL WORKERS PROGRAM (SWP) in KOREA as of the moment.
The office is waiting for the interim guidelines of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) in the stipulations of the proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Korean Local Government for the Seasonal Worker Programs. The DMW needs to be involved in the recruitment process to avoid exploitation of our workers and ensure the protection of labor rights and living conditions of our constituents.
It has come to our attention that a certain private training institution is incorrectly claiming that City Agriculture Office is sending SWP to Korea. The said office has not made any arrangement/s or partnership for training related to the SWP.
