ANNOUNCEMENT | Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 2021-054 entitled, “Amendment to the DILG MC No. 2021-012 on the establishment of Civil Society Organization (CSO) Desk and Institutionalization of People’s Council in the Local Government Units (LGUs)”, the City Government of San Pedro is encouraging all accredited, registered, and recognized Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the San Pedro City to submit a People’s Council Membership Application Form ( https://tinyurl.com/7adxw4fz )
The Council shall be represented by local people’s organizations and
sectors, such as, but not limited to:
1. Farmers and landless rural workers;
2. Artisanal fisher folk;
3. Urban poor;
4. Indigenous cultural communities/Indigenous People’s;
5. Workers in the formal sector and migrant workers;
6. Workers in the informal sector;
7. Women; Children; Youth and students;
8. Persons with Disabilities;
9. Victims of Disasters and Calamities;
10. Senior Citizens;
11. Cooperatives; and
12. Other relevant sectors with existing or operating organizations in the locality.
Please submit the form to the City Planning and Development Coordinator’s Office (CPDCO) on the 4th floor, San Pedro City Hall before April 30, 2024.
