Another success for the City of San Pedro!
The City Government of San Pedro would like to congratulate Mr. Niño Cristobal for winning the 2nd place – Urban Garden Category and Best Urban Garden Individual Category for the search for Panlalawigang Gawad Saka 2023. The Panlalawigang Gawad Saka 2023 awarding was held last November 10, 2023 at the Cultural Center of Laguna, Provincial Capitol Compound, Santa Cruz, Laguna.
The City Government of San Pedro is also commending the following participants for their remarkable and outstanding performance that led to their nomination during the 8th Laguna Organic Agriculture and 5th Agri-Fishery Congress.
San Pedro Agri-Workers Network (SPAWN) – Outstanding Farmer Organization Category for the search for Panlalawigang Gawad Saka 2023; Phase 6 garden Zone Z – Best Urban Garden Community Category for the search for Plantitos and Plantitas of Laguna 2023; Barangay Calendola – Best Urban Garden Community Category for the search for Plantitos and Plantitas of Laguna 2023; CAFC – City of San Pedro – Outstanding City Agricultural and Fishery Council Category for the search for Panlalawigang Gawad Saka 2023; Ms. Mary Grace Nagano – Best Urban Garden Individual Category for the search for Plantitos and Plantitas of Laguna 2023 and Senior Citizens Homeowners Association – Best Ornament Garden Community Garden Category for Plantitos and Plantitas of Laguna 2023.
This prestigious award would not be possible without the help of Engr. King Layola–City Agriculturist, and also to Mr. Marvin P. Mandia and Ms. Alexis Jesyl M. Bongat for their invaluable support to the success of this project. The awardees were recognized earlier today November 13, 2023, during the Flag Raising Ceremony at the San Pedro City Hall.
