Governor Gov. Ramil L. Hernandez , Congresswoman Ruth Mariano-Hernandez, Vice-Governor Karen Agapay, some members of the Sangguniang Panalawigan, and some foreign government officials inaugurated the Anilag Trade Fair to formally open the Anilag Festival. They also visited every booth of the towns to formally launch them. This was followed by judging for the best trade fair booth, made up of various experts.
For their booth this year, the City Government of San Pedro took inspiration from some of our city’s valuable cultural treasures, such as Pagsasampaguita, San Pedro Gateway Arch, Lolo Uweng Shrine , Balon ni Lolo Uweng, and the throne used by Pope Francis during his Luneta mass last year 2015. San Pedro booth at Anilag Trade Fair was built by TCAO staff, assisted by some staff from San Pedro City Public Affairs and Information Office .
In addition to the Trade Fair, some of the activities that took place today were the Heritage Parade, Thanksgiving Mass, and Float Parade Competition.
