IN PHOTOS | On February 6, 2025 (Thursday), the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST), in collaboration with the City Government of San Pedro – City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), successfully conducted the “Earthquake Hazards Awareness and Preparedness” Information and Educational Campaign at San Pedro Astrodome, Brgy. Pacita 1, San Pedro City, Laguna.
This initiative aimed to equip the public with essential knowledge on earthquake hazards and preparedness measures. Additionally, as part of DOST-PHIVOLCS’ commitment to enhancing disaster resilience, a Real-Time Earthquake Monitoring Station (RTEMS) has been installed in Sitio Rustan, Brgy. Langgam, San Pedro City, Laguna to strengthen earthquake monitoring in the area.
