The pedestrian lanes implemented by DPWH was indeed NOT a project initiated by the City Government of San Pedro. Projects like this calls for a more collaborative approach between the City Engineering Office and DPWH to come up with a much more efficient design PRIOR the implementation. Clearly, there wasn’t any communication or coordination done, and the project was implemented INDEPENDENTLY.
It is ESSENTIAL for a project to be implemented with PROPER COLLABORATION especially on the intention of enhancing pedestrian safety.
This statement aims to clarify the roles of the parties involved in the project. Rest assured that the DPWH Laguna 2nd District Engineering Office, the implementing office, will provide clarification on the details of the project, and the San Pedro City Engineering Office will always coordinate with their team.
Again, we challenge peddlers of misinformation to present proof of their malicious accusations. Otherwise, they have nothing, but pure hate speech calculated to malign those who are in charge to govern.
