LOOK | Earlier today, 04 March 2024 (Monday), the City Government of San Pedro had a kick-off activity of the 2024 National Women’s Month with a #JuanaWalk from the San Pedro City Plaza to San Pedro City Hall in which participants wore purple shirts to show empowerment and support to this year’s theme, “Lipunang Patas Sa Bagong Pilipinas: Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan!”.
The activity was spearheaded by the Gender and Development Office which was participated by different women groups and organizations, city employees, barangay and city officials.
2nd District Representative Cong. Ruth Hernandez and Mr. Alden Richards also participated in the activity as special guests. Aside from the Juana Walk activity, Hygiene Kits for Women Deprived of Liberty has been turned over to BJMP and PNP.
