In Photos| Public Hearing on Bawal Bastos Ordinance of San Pedro City
The City Government of San Pedro through Office of the Sangguniang Panlungsod conducted a Public Hearing on An Ordinance Defining Gender-Based Sexual Harassment and Prohibited Acts in the Streets and Public Spaces of the City of San Pedro, Laguna as well as Adopting the Penalties Pursuant to REPUBLIC ACT 11313 otherwise known as ‘SAFE SPACES ACT’ being authored by City Councilor Atty. Marky Oliveros.
The said act prohibits Gender-Based streets and public spaces sexual harassment; Gender-Based sexual harassment in restaurants and cafes, bars and clubs, resorts and water parks, hotels and casinos, cinemas, malls, buildings and other privately-owned places open to public; Gender-Based sexual harassment in public utility vehicles (PUVs); and Gender-Based sexual harassment in streets and public spaces committed by minors.
