Under Article V of the 1987 Philippine Constitution, every Filipino citizen has the Right of Suffrage:

As a qualified voter, you’re entitled to these essential rights:
Right to Vote Freely
โข Vote according to your personal convictionโfree from threats, coercion, or manipulation.
Right to a Private Ballot
โข Your vote is confidential. Cast it in private and without interference.
Right to Access Polling Precincts
โข All registered votersโincluding persons with disabilities and senior citizensโmust have unhampered access to polling centers with appropriate facilities.
Right to Assistance When Needed
โข If you struggle with reading or writing, a trusted companion or a Board of Election Inspectors (BEI) member can assist you in casting your vote.
Right to Be Informed
โข Understand the candidates, their platforms, and how the voting process works so you can make an educated choice.
Right to Report Election Violations
โข If you witness any election fraud, misconduct, or irregularities, you have the right and responsibility to report it to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) or proper authorities.
