On November 14, 2024, the San Pedro City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (DRRMC) successfully conducted the DUCK, COVER, and HOLD drill as part of the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED). This essential activity was designed to enhance community preparedness, improve coordination between the local government and the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC), and strengthen the rapid deployment of response teams in the event of an earthquake.
