LOOK | 3,000 elementary students from three schools in Laguna, including Sampaguita Village Elementary School (SVES) learned about the maritime profession by the end of the academic year 2023-2024
The German-based shipowner Döhle Group successfully completed the third leg of its Adopt A Ship Program at Sampaguita Village Elementary School (SVES) on May 24. This initiative, part of Döhle Seafront’s efforts to promote maritime careers among the youth, engaged 781 students from SVES over 10 weeks through email exchanges with maritime professionals. The program, also implemented at Landayang and San Vicente Elementary Schools, aims to spark interest in maritime professions and counteract negative perceptions of the industry.
